We’re continuing our series of photos from The Art of Comedy exhibition in London with this charming image of sculptor Graham Ibbeson and a bronze cast of the boot – the sole remains of the Eric Morecambe statue when it was vandalised in October 2014.
Held at The Lavery Rooms in South Kensington from October 6 to 8, the event was a hit with comedy and art lovers alike.
Also on view were life-size statues of Eric Morecambe, Laurel and Hardy and Benny Hill plus smaller studies of Les Dawson and Norman Wisdom.
Half of all net profits from the exhibition will go towards the creation of the 10ft bronze wall art to be created by Graham which will reunite Eric and his partner in mirth Ernie Wise for the 75th anniversary of their double act in 2016.
